What Do We Collect

We collect minimal information and only what is needed to operate an educational platform.

Users may log into the site using Google single sign-on, Native login, or Classroom Code. 

For users logging in with Google or Classroom Code: We do NOT collect ANY information. 

For users creating a native login on the Earthnova website, we collect the following:

  • First and Last Name
  • Username
  • Email
How We Use The Information

We use this information to send periodic newsletters through a third-party Mailchimp platform. Users may choose to opt out of the newsletter on Mailchimp.

We do not otherwise make use of personal information, nor do we provide or sell it to third parties. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not allow general or targeted advertising on our platform. 

Information Collected Automatically

We may collect limited technical information using Google Analytics, such as device type and browser, general location, pages visited and time spent on the platform, and performance data. 

Cookies are small text files that are stored on a user's computer and allow websites to "remember" information about users to simplify the login process. We do not store any personal information in these cookies, nor do we provide any cookie information to third parties. 

Data Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect information, use restricted access controls, and secure data storage practices. Our login process uses an elaborate Captcha to protect against spam attacks on the site.

Our platform may link to external educational resources that enhance education for climate and sustainability. We are not responsible for the privacy practices on other websites.

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. If changes are significant, we will inform users through the platform. We encourage you to periodically review this policy, and your continued use indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
